About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

My username is a play on the name of the famous computer company Symbolics. The founders of the company were MIT hackers. They made lisp machines. They had a lot of stupid infighting with their competitor Lisp Machines Inc. They registered the first dot com domain name of the modern internet. They are now all but defunct.

I am a programmer, I got burnt out in college and dropped out after freshman year (but I still program for a living), and I wanted to find a way of preserving and displaying my hacker background as I was (and still am) reaching out into other (unrelated) areas of interest.

I tend to give a lot of advice to people who hate their jobs or are sick of working or that just feel depressed, mainly because I know what it feels like. The psychological effects of this insane society are nothing short of horrifying. Seriously. Do you feel it?

Oh, and I'm an anarchist, but I'm not that "out" as one, if you know what I mean.
