About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I was born Christina Rachel Wodtke. When I was a tiny thing, my parents called me Tina. I was one of those horrid geeky little girls who couldn't run fast, couldn't throw or catch, and used three-four syllable words in ordinary conversation. I was picked on at school and cried almost everyday. When I moved, I decided to try to fit in, and changed my name to Chris. I watched people closely, and tried to learn how to behave normally and become ordinary. Then I went to art school, and asked people to call me cat. For four years I was wild and as weird as I wanted to be, unrestraining all those goofball desires I'd tried to suppress in my Iowa years. That made me ordinary in art school. When I graduated I moved to California and changed me name again-- to my own. I told everyone my name was Christina. I behaved like myself. It's working pretty well so far. I even got married and didn't change my name to sarrazin, which would be quite easier to spell...

I'm a pretty happy person.
