What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
I was working for the Paralyzed Veterans of America (This was Jan. 1995). I was hired to be the governement relations person for the state of Texas and I wanted to be able to use the gov's "thomas" site. So I bought a modem installed it and downloaded mosaic off of some FTP site. The great part is I still don't know what FTP is and how it's different from other websites. Back tehn every site was dayglo green and almost all text.
