What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
Well, as to my nickname, its a handle I have used for a few years now, and its pulled from quite a few sources. I wont be specific, because that would take a great deal of space, but lets say that through hebrew and assyran legends I have drawn upon a character that embodies a certain power of both creation and destruction. (shrugging) I guess I just like a little drama. There are a few other people on the web using the same name, but are entirely different from this Original Chaos Goblin.
How I head about Metafilter was from a friend of mine. My friend Jairus used to talk about how its a really cool site, so last year I checked it out. I now visit it almost daily, sometimes many times a day. I use Meta as a springboard for the flavor of my data searches for the day, chasing down leads begun here at this very site so that at the end of the day I have always learned something new AND important.
