Maybe. It could also be that English is not my first language. I took English in school, but I never had to actually use it IRL until 2009. I have enough command of it to communicate well in everyday situations, but complex or emotional ideas can be hard to convey sometimes. Plus my brain defaults to Spanglish when I'm tired.

I wrote you a message ages ago and you never replied. What gives?

If you have sent me a message in the past and I didn't respond - I am really sorry. A combination of me being a procrastinator and shy in one-on-one interactions prevented me from replying to most of the messages I received until recently.

If you want to send me a message now, however, I promise a reply will arrive as quickly as… something that takes a little time but no longer than a week, or two at worst. I can't think of anything. Maybe a small parcel from EBay if the seller is in the same country and you paid for 1st class shipping. I will change this as soon as I think of a better simile.
