What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? Raised a stone’s throw away from the largest man-made structure on earth (the Staten Island Landfill), Mike Sergott has parlayed a first place finish in the 8th grade spelling bee, a 2.7 GPA at Holy Cross College and half a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the New School for Social Research into a career as a mid-level marketing and communications manager.

He is also co-creator of the pop culture blog AppetiteForDeconstruction.com, and serves as editor and columnist for Rotoholics.com, a leading fantasy football website that apparently is all the rage in France.

Forced to move to California three years ago, Mike has made the most of his new left coast lifestyle by launching web sites, gorging himself on sushi, procuring a medical marijuana card and watching NFL football starting at 10am on Sundays while stoned to the bejeezus belt.

Despite the fact that his new Wii Fit has declared him “obese,” Mike prefers to think of himself simply as big boned, coupled with a metabolism slowed by middle age.

Due to his unorthodox-yet-versatile style of journalism, many have referred to him as "the Fat Lever of the Internet.”

When asked what he does for fun, Mike replied: “I enjoy… skinny skiing… going to bullfights on acid.”

He is an avid traveler, and has made over a dozen trips to Australia, citing his frequent desire to “go down under.”
