The British have no chance. The best bunnies I ever saw were Hefs Swedes.

Are you mad? Think rock. Or apple.

And only mildly related, I hope I'm not the only one who, when hearing "Wait for it... Wait for it..." finishes it with "Pow! I just shit my pants!"

Bunnies can be pretty smart if raised in a stimulating environment, in other words not locked in a cage in the backyard. All the ones we've had have been unique, personality-wise. But jumping is something they do normally so it's not a stretch to get to do it. That said, you won't get a bunny to jump if they're not willing.

So do they train wee frogs in breeches to steer them around the course?

Oh man. I want to go to the Burgess Premier Small Animal Show! It looks like fun. Too bad it's in England. :( Maybe for the best though, or I'd come home with armsful of rats.

I have a bunny that I often think I should train to be a jumper. She has created a NASCAR track around the house that she uses to burn off extra energy.

Unfortunately, I also learned (the hard way) that she is a bunny who wants to be Houdini. NO FENCE CAN CONTAIN HER! So, anything involving leaving the house or backyard (on a leash) is a no-go.

So, do any bookies take bets on bunny-jumping yet? No?

We watched this last night, I think that's the bunny equivalent of Eddie the Eagle. The Swedes are likely not quaking in their hutches. Regardless, Mrs arcticseal now wants a jumping bunny.
