Nas & Damian Marley (Distant Relatives): Patience. We sure have come a long way since Graffiti Rock.

Damian Marley looks like Cornell West, and I don't think it's mere coincidence.

For those of you who didn't know this song samples the fantastic Sabali by Amadou & Mariam (who each appear throughout the video in the background).

This is the first time I have ever actually enjoyed the imagery in a full-budget music video

Liked the imagery, hated the song.

Hard to fuck up Sabali. Love Amadou et Mariam.

Love Damian Marley's It Was Written (Dubstep Remix)

This shit was bomb. I got worried there for a minute Nas was going to start asking about magnets, but he held it together, metaphysically-like. Genius artwork on the vid.

This was my favorite, on repeat, song of December 2009. Thanks for sharing the link.

That Nas video is very AfterEffects 101. Not that its a bad thing. Also, a lot of directors/musicians are doing throwback Graffiti Rock styles.
