One of Malaysia’s Petronas Towers Being Evacuated. Great. Is this gonna happen everywhere?

I've left my house.

Just in case.

Seriously, something like this isn't going to happen again. It will be something else if something else is to happen.

I don't know. It seemed to be a horribly succesful strategy today.

I don't think you can fairly use the axom, "Lighting never strikes the same place twice", in this scenario. When domestic flights resume next week, what's to stop someone from doing this again?

Nice to see that the terrorism is working as intended, eh?

Remember that the best thing you can do to defeat these terrorists is to remain calm and compassionate. Their methods are ineffective (albeit still horrific) if you chose to do so.

It's ok, it was just a drill..

I heard that this is happening in other places today as well. I have family in England, the London area, and it kinda scared me half to death. People are talking about a certain country that responsible, but what if it's more an organization? When McVeigh bombed the federal building in OKC, it wasn't for Arabia, Germany, France, or any other country. But I guess that Bush isn't going to think outside the box on this one is he?

Sorry about the double post, this old mac doesn't work right, and I thought it didn't post the first time.

What is there to "think outside the box" about?? They said 3 weeks ago that Osama bin Laden was planning "an unprecidented attack". There is evidence all over tv, and the web. How about I write you a damn book about it. Hows that for thinking outside the box?

Calm yourself, Logboy. Everybody's confused and everybody's got concerns. Infighting is not going to help.

I knew I shouldn't have posted a remark other than "Bush Is Great". I just meant that there's a chance that this might not be the act of one specific country. Hell, it could have been the KKK for all we know. Going and attacking "suspected" countries or people will only start a war, which is something that no one wants. I'll admit that I'm not Bush's number one fan, but almost everyone assumes that it's the attack of another country. Even on AOL, they "assumed" another country. Why? Has there been solid proof found on Osama bin Laden yet?

Solid proof? No. But on CNN they did say that investigations are turning up evidence suggesting it was bin Laden's group, such as someone from his group confirmed on one of the flights.

I completely agree that we shouldn't jump to conclusions. The Oklahoma City bombing is proof it can come from the inside. That said, I think Bush was moderate on this point. He didn't say we're attacking another country. He said we're going after whoever did this. If it is a non-national, non-governmental organization, so be it... we're still going after them. However, if it is a group with no governmental affiliation, we will not look kindly on governments that aid them.

That's a far cry from saying we know it was bin Laden or even that we know it wasn't American citizens.

There are the comments that Osama made that ended up in the news about the "unprecedented attack". There is also the fact that one of Osama's agents was scheduled to receive a life sentence in Federal Court in Manhattan tomorrow for his part in the bombing of the embassy in Nairobi.

I would say that, if Osama isn't the chief suspect, he's on a very short list of suspects.

There's a reason why it's still debateable. I've read about instances where people threaten to burn buildings down (people's homes mostly), and then one of their worst enemies does it. But if it was Osama, get him and the organization. Let's not start WWIII.

Let's not start WWIII.

Let me second that, especially when it comes to using nuclear weapons. Please, never again.
