Yang has a computational theory of cognition. Apparently, he started out the lone wolf in the wilderness, now becoming recognized. It's a compelling story.

The guy reads like an absolute crackpot, but he's apparently managed to operationalize his ideas, which is impressive. He doesn't show any examples of detecting an absence of porn in his filter, though, which might point to a problem with false positives.
