L'Estrange, it's a SFW link to an article that ran on the front page of one of our biggest newspapers.

(the video is more disturbing, especially the audio/ambience, than straight-out NSFW)

"Despite its macabre basis, viewing Scenario is eerie but ultimately far more engaging than disturbing, enhanced by the novelty of screen elements responding to your movements."

Having watched the video and read the text, I have to agree that there's not much NSFW happening here. The '...help me father...' audio is no more disturbing than having a horror movie's trailer playing on your workstation.

I suspect that this is a piece that is more for Austria than anywhere else. If you had no idea what the piece is about would it be at all effective? It's hard to say without seeing it, being there, but from the small sample it seems so.

This awful, terrible event was still on the tongues of many when I was there last May; the first two nights at bars in the small town of Krems, locals bought us drinks and the talk turned to this. We knew nothing of it, but we learned the details rather quickly.

Yeah, I saw that in the paper and was equal parts disturbed and fascinated. The article mentioned that they'll show it to 5 people at a time during the film festival. Where do I apply?

Oddly enough, this is taking place in Australia. But it's about Austria.

I should really apply. I studied at UNSW but I've never been to the iCinema.

Vidur, you can apply by e-mailing scenario@sff.org.au

Anyone got a torrent?

More on the artist Dennis Del Favero and The Center for Interactive Film Research who built the work.

Also, Del Favero teaches in Australia.

Joe in Australia, thanks for the link. That's about all I can bear on this particular story...I've avoided it for the most part.
