Skate Skulls

Graphic designer Beto Janz took old beat-up skateboards and turned them into badass skull art for a skate shop in Brazil. Flash interface; mouse hover to the right side of the browser and click to advance the six images in sequence; skull decks are the final two images. Those are amazing, I love that he's leaving them around for people to find and keep as advertising. The green mohawk's damn spiffy too.

Like the art, hate the flash....

I love art made from old skate decks. The plywood they use is so colorful, it makes for great sculpture.

It cannot be said enough: nice pieces, but the flash is just idiotic.

I looked at two pictures, liked it, but cannot stand sticking around enough to look at any other stuff.

Painful, really.

The man's art is indeed badass. The site is just plain ass. Gone in 10 seconds.

Yes, we all agree that flash sucks, hence the directions on use in the post (my attempt to head off the complaints ... didn't work, apparently).

Boy, even with your admirable directions I couldn't work the thing. It's like having a drill instructor with sardine breath scream haiku at me from six inches away - the poem might be good but it sure isn't what I am thinking about.

These are by a good measure the best badass skate deck skulls I've ever seen. But, I now realize that if I had a nickel for every badass skate deck skull I've seen in addition to the $1.05 this site would have given me, I'd have, like, several more dollars.
