Iraq may have financed attacks... Title says it all. Go read.
Well, the US financed bin Laden in the 80's, and provided CIA training. Do we go to war with the CIA too?

Israeli officials and intelligence analysts said the suicide hijackings that downed the World Trade Center and destroyed parts of the Pentagon was too large an operation for any one group.
No, it wasn't.
Some people really want Iraq to be involved, though.

Before anyone goes declaring war, shouldn't we wait for something more than "Of all the countries, Iraq seems the most reasonable . . . " ?

This strikes me as a very not-credible source. Who is worldtribune.com?

This page on the World Tribune site explains their own purpose in existing. Here's a quote:
This newspaper exists because we believe the world's most influential nation is poorly served by U.S.media outlets that focus on domestic political and cultural issues to the exclusion of relevant news affecting the other five-and-a-half billion people in the world.
So far, I haven't seen any major news outlets verify this story.

I guess I'm confused. I thought Husaine (sp?) and Bin Laden had opposing religious beliefs. Is their mutual hatred of the U.S. enough for such religious zealotry to be put aside?

Husein and bin Laden are political bedfellows as of about 10 years ago. Husein was once a secular leader but as the Islamic Fundamentalists gained power, he began to see the religious light (alliance). Some in our nations higher echelon would like to implicate Husein because if we go after him, we could end up the owner of an oil producing nation we will have to "protect" for generations in the Middle East. And of course re-educate the locals. It has worked before. It also sounds like a Tom Clancy novel but hey, he's been right before!

From the Subscribe to World Tribune page:
WorldTribune.com does not share, sell, or rent it's user list to anyone!
Perhaps it's unfair, but I tend to think any respectable news outlet run by more than a couple of regular joes would know to use "its" as the possessive, instead of "it's."
As a general rule, of course.

BarneyFife: Yeah, who would ever listen to some organization as rinkydink as the Israeli intelligence agency anyway? Almost as bad as that air force of theirs. All the real knowledge is held in random MetaFilter users.
