I got 1,902. Is that good?

I have secretly been addicted to this game for about two weeks. I mean, yes, I could sleep, but if I do, who's going to clear those colorful circles off of the board?

Gosh darn it. I just got myself unaddicted to taberinos. This guy's games are just too, too good. I need a killfile for new flash games.

...and after playing it for awhile, everything on my computer seems to have very sharp angles.

i, too, have been playing this for weeks. it blisses me out. yet the best i've done is level 19.

2938. I can sleep now.

Wow, so close to 3000 Night_owl. You have some strength of will, going to sleep with 3000 so close. Kudos. I know I couldn't have done it. Sleep well.

i will not rest until i finally manage to break 7000. i hate all those assholes on the high-score board!!!

(no, it's cool, i'm not completely and utterly addicted to a simple little flash game playing a jaunty tune, and i certainly don't dream in circles.)

ooh -- fellow Jorin-ers! I've also been playing this for over a week. I don't remember what my highest level was, but my highest score was up to 7000+ -- then I went to bed before finishing the game, and my computer downloaded an update and rebooted. The pain.

I just had a 6,447 six hours ago... you can see me on the best scores list for today (at the moment, anyway).

After a few moves I got a "no more moves" message. Wha? Any circle with arrows is a potential move, isn't it?
posted by DU at 3:44 AM on March 13, 2011

NM, I see the move counter now.

I don't like that I have to re-start at the beginning each time. At least give me a checkpoint every few levels...
The first 5 levels are too boring to play a bajillion times.

This is great, it's so satisfying when you discover a nice long chain. I haven't broken 3000 yet though.

I've managed to get the full row and full column awards, does anyone know what the other two are?

Clearing all the colored bubbles with one move (doesn't have to be the first move) and clearing half the bubbles on screen with one move (very difficult).

I have been stuck on this for days. I feel useless.

Is it just me or, after playing this game for a little while, my browser window and my laptop and most things look unusually rectangular!

Its an interesting case of altering your perception.

I definitely noticed that the other day, vacapinta.

Oops! Missed your comment somehow. But yeah I guess I am confirming it then...

Is there a game for android or iPhone like this? If not, there should be.
posted by polymath at 10:33 AM on March 16, 2011

True. I'd like to be playing it right now.

Thanks Night_owl, I've just managed to get the half clear award once or twice now, mostly by accident.

My wife -also addicted to this- managed to get all four bonuses. I thought there might be a bonus for getting all four bonuses, but there isn't.

Once I get to level 8 (I think) the difficulty is just too ramped up. There are a large amount of coloured speheres and a large amount of empty (no direction) ones. I get presented with a playing board where there is actually a rather small amount of white arrows, and many of them are immediate exits at the border.
I can analyze the whole board and there is no strategy then, just cross my fingers and hope I am lucky...

Yes, this is the problem at the higher levels, especially; at some point it becomes all about luck, and I'm not crazy about that. I want skill to be the limiting factor. Still, I can't stop playing.

I feel like I want some credits for when I make super-amazing long chains, or clear all the colored circles while retaining five moves the whole time, or clear the whole board of colored circles with one move more than once. Something. I'd like to be able to earn skill credits to offset the total-luck aspect when it occurs.

The same criticisms apply to many Tony Pa games. The guy is good at creating addictive concepts but I am not sure he can create well-balanced games as well.

9120! I got to the top of the little leaderboard box! [pics, it happened!]

Thank god. Now I can stop.
