There he is, brain the size of a planet, and they ask him to dance.

Something tells me that the platform that needs a dancing mascot is going to lose the mobile computing war. Just a hunch.

I'm still not buying one.

I really dig how that suit is weighted - it wobbles in just the exact way you think it won't.

Apple's going to get its ass kicked in every dance competition until they add some arms and legs to their logo.

That freaked me out for a minute, too. I think part of that effect is that you can't see what the person inside is doing with his or her upper body. So the CG of the suit is changing constantly in ways you can't see, so it looks all impossible.

I agree.

At first that dancing android confused me. I mean, it makes inhuman movements at an inhuman speed, but then I realized, duh. Of course. Because it's an android.

On second viewing: Notice the creepy guy in the background with almost no interest in the dancing android, who keeps taking pictures of the spokeslady.

You are right, but that mascot still has some moves.

Well, the 'show' is actually being put on by Sony. And anyway, maybe they don't need a dancing mascot, but they just got one because it's awesome

For an open system, Android has a very restrictive mascot.

I think it works even better with this dance track (warning: shwing!)

I suppose it's as good a basis as any other to decide what phone to buy. But who doesn't need a dancing mascot? The only difference between the Sony Experia Arc and me here is that Sony can afford to employ one.

Burhanistan: The dancing Android is out there and loving it and not afraid to let people see him.

You might say it's more...open.

I ever see someone dressed as the Maemo logo, I am standing well back and expecting some hardcore crumping.
