Punk rock and comic books! My two favorite things!

Mitch Clem, author of the late, lamented punk comic Nothing Nice To Say, is back with Turnstile Comics. The first issue is a collaboration with Jesse "Swan" Thorson from Minneapolis punks The Slow Death and includes a 4 song EP from them. It's printed in a 7 by 7-inch square to help fit with your record collection.

I actually gasped when I saw this post, Lovecraft In Brooklyn. I love Mitch Clem, and sorely miss reading Nothing Nice To Say.

I've checked out the band it's with and they sound really good too. Very Replacements, appropriately enough.

Holy shit, Mitch Clem. I loved that guy. And then he disappeared. And now there's this post! What a great day.

Mitch Clem is inneresting. I kind of lost track of him during My Stupid Life--looks like he's still doing it?

Ooooh, I love me some Mitch Clem.

This all ties together because I didn't know Pretty Boy Thorson until this week when I heard that very song on the Razorcake podcast hosted by Mitch Clem!

This is exciting, thanks!

One of my favorite "you got your peanut butter in my fandom" moments comes courtesy of Mitch Clem's NN2S. Mitch Clem comes Raffi approved.

One time, I paypal'd Mitch 5 dollars when he was hard up and needed cash for moving expenses. He said he would send NN2S stickers, but I never saw them. Kinda made me bitter.
