Is this something one would need to be gay and/or a 12-year-old girl to appreciate?

(Kidding. I'm a grown, straight man and I knew all of those songs. Except the one from Enchanted. I try to forget that movie.)

I thought that his Belle voice started out a little rough. Aladdin was absolutely perfect, though. Freaky. Jeremy Irons he is not, but that's ok. But when he hit his full volume as Ariel, I almost fell over. After that, the rest was just icing. Pretty incredible stuff. I've never heard of Nick before. Looking at the previous links, he's even a decent animator. Good for him.

I don't want to spoil the parade because it's a good video - but it looks like he's lip syncing. Or maybe there's a telesync issue, or he sang the tracks and then lipsynced to his own audio for the video portion or something. But something seems... fishy. And I'm not talking about Ariel.

I can't sing anywhere near that level, but I do know that that kind of volume and projection usually requires more heavy breathing, and I'm just not seeing his breathing match up that well for the kind of extended sustain and vibrato he's doing.

I also don't want to spoil the parade, but it looks like it's a guy singing Disney songs. Just a heads up before anyone clicks.

This reminds me of an act I had back in the 70's. I toured the South and the Southwest doing impressions of scenes from Hitchcock films. It was generally well received, though I occasionally found difficulty obtaining lodging at Intstate-adjacent motels.

This reminds me of an act I had back in the 80's. I toured the North and the Northwest doing impressions of scenes from David Lynch films. It was generally well received, though I occasionally found difficulty obtaining lodging at places that served cherry pie and a cup of joe.

This reminds me of an act I had recently. I toured around, doing impressions of scenes from Inception. One night, I fell asleep and missed my call. I lay in bed, snoozing, while the show went on. People said it was my performance ever.

Is it just me, or does he look like the love child of James Spader and Jensen Ackles?

This reminds me of an act I had back in the 00's. I toured the Midwest and Midwestwest doing impressions of scenes from Metafilter. It was generally well received, though I occasionally found difficulty obtaining a wifi connection.

Every day a new gay to prove to me how my love of Disney is insufficient. *sigh*

Is he seriously hitting all of those notes without any pitch-shifting? I tried singing along with a couple of them (yes, of course I knew most of the words) and bits of the female parts are a good octave above what I can manage. He doesn't sound like he's doing falsetto either. However he's doing it, though, it's very impressive.

I don't want to spoil the parade, but I'm fairly sure there is some kind of camera trickery going on here. I mean, six guys who can sing that well and also look exactly alike? I highly doubt it.

Thanks for this; I enjoyed both the singing as well as the creativity and effort that clearly went into coordinating this video. I thought mashing up the sings from "Hercules" and "Mulan" worked especially well.

Nick also has a video up on YouTube where he covers "Someone Like You" from Adele's recent album, which is worth a listen.

There is no pitchshifting. Nick is popular in the vocalist world at the moment because of his pretty uncommon ability to mimic the female voice in pitch, intonation, and so on.

He's good in more ways than just his singing. He is a PIXAR animator. As is common for most good animators, drama and music are common backgrounds.

Felt like I would be annoyed. But then he jumped in from the left in the costume. That was pretty good. And the French accent. (Then it got boring again.) Overall, pretty damn impressive. If he's really a Pixar animator as well, god, what a loser. I'm going back to play Rift now. O_o

He seems to strain to get the really feminine notes out, but would make an excellent voice actor for a young boy.

I thought is was incredible, and will now go watch more of him because it's been a tough day and he's made me smile.

If he's not lip synching, he's coordinating his moves to each part in the cute little six-split setup while singing flawlessly. So yes, he's lip synching, and not perfectly. But hay, so are the characters in the original movies, and not only that, they're doing it ONE FRAME AT A TIME.

This guy is for real. I believe he was featured on MeFi a while back for this "Whole New World" contest where some company was soliciting for people's best renditions of the song--his version of Ariel was stupendous.
