Yes indeed! This is exactly what the internet was created for. This has totally made my entire month, thank you!

Somehow, it seems wrong to look at owls who aren't being all wise and implacable. Wrong, but awesome.

I don't think I would understand owl humor. I laugh at things like 50 pictures of Chipmunks stuffing food into their mouths, but owls would probably just see it as a dinner menu. What makes these owls laugh so much? Some killer knock knock jokes? "hoo's there?" Meh, owl jokes are probably lame.

A hee de hoodle a hoodle doo! The smiling-smiley-smiles of the owly-owls titter a laughing-tootle-toot on the whimsy-blast of my joyful-horn -- a sunny symphony of the joking-smiles and the twinkle-sparkle friendly-eyes! A titter-tinkle of loving friendly laughing joking owls shines a shiny-shining-light of orangey golden yellow on a green grass meadow where oodles of owls form an oval of thundering guffaws! Now night comes - the air is black and cold - but there's even more laughter, even though all the laughter is silent! Oh ho, oh ho, I want to soar a swooping-happy-swoop through the sing-a-song of a laughter-siren -- the sounds of happy smiling laughing owls, after all, helps cover the sound of a thousand mice and bats shrieking eagerly for the sweet embrace of death! The hooting chuckles of the great horned owl, his large eyes blank with avian wisdom, help us forget the face of a possum torn shrieking from the ground, its guts spilling hot and red on the now-night grass below him, his final breaths mere spittle-mist against the inky black around him, a tiny gurgle barely heard even over the silent swooping of the silent laughing of the silent owl death machine go-seek-the-rodent kill-at-all-costs body-built-for-murder razor-clawed aerial-death-device sent-from-hell-to-punish-the-animals! A hoo de hoo de hoodle hey! Let's all laugh together tonight, laughing forever, our chuckle-laughs snorkling a happy set of snorts in the lonely forest where not-a-thing is safe! Let's laugh until our mouths to beaks and our skin to feathers and our heads spin all the way round - that's how I choose to live!

Yes. It is very funny when they limp.

It's not just that they look like they're laughing, they look like the archetypical lovable uncle having a good chuckle. They're avuncular owls. I'm glad I clicked just so I got to call some owls avuncular.

That blog post is a rip-off of this Buzzfeed post (I think!) and the Buzzfeed post is, in the first place, one of those uncredited image dumps (that we all know and love!). Still! Owls! Weeee!

I love owls, but yeah, I hate these uncredited-image-dump links. I'm not too impressed by their "We find images from the Web that are believed to belong in the public domain" disclaimer at the bottom, either.

I can't escape the feeling that they're laughing at me.

If you need me, I'll be in the corner nursing the remnants of my self esteem.

Between snorts of laughter, I had the same feeling, Gator. I started to do a TinEye search but then I got interrupted by work. Stupid work.

They're not laughing. They're opening their mouth, preparing to suck the universe into a hell dimension. FILLED WITH EVIL OWLS.
