Flags and guns 'selling out as patriotism sweeps US' "Reports show many are first-time buyers as a wave of patriotism sweeps the country since the tragedy." - is this how you celebrate patroitism, buying guns? Well, maybe not: "American Muslims have also been buying guns, fearful of vigilante attacks."

Certain people are really taking advantage of certain people's fears.

Remember the gas price gouging Tuesday night?

I don't understand what patriotism has to do with guns, either.

Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, Revolutionary Minutemen. Historically, many Americans associate guns with the protection of their most basic rights. Do some take it extremes? Of course, but I think history has something to do with it.

There's been a slight boycott on the motels around Oakhurst, west of Tulsa. The motels that are run by Arabians, of course. One had a window smashed out last night, but it wasn't mentioned on the local radio station news here.

K-Mart stopped selling them after the attack. I was amazed that more stores didn't do the same; their decision improved my perception of them greatly.

Statistcally, the new influx of gun owners will mean more gun martyrs as more little fingers get their hands on daddy's gun.

"Statistically, the new influx of car owners will mean more automobile martyrs as more 16-year-olds get their hands on daddy's car keys."

Freedom has a price: responsibility. Don't care to assume responsibility? That's your risk.

Remind me not to let my kids play at your house.

Not much I can add to that.
