Villians spotted at Melbourne University!

The annual Melbourne University Puzzle Hunt is back - and this time they need your help fending off villians with your puzzle-solving abilities. Anyone from anywhere in the world can compete in teams of 1 to 10 people (or you can see the puzzles for yourself and play at home).

It officially starts today (April 11) but anyone can register at any time. Puzzles are released at noon Melbourne time, with hints for the previous day's puzzles. If your team wins, you need someone from Melbourne in your team to pick up prizes.

It pleases me that the documents are set in TeX :)

This is great, how did I not know of this? And it looks like you can look at the puzzles for previous years too, which means plenty of casual-time solving! Nice, much appreciated!

Anyone want to start a MeFi team? :)

Pleased to see this on the blue! The team I was in a few years back was the first to solve the puzzle, but we couldn't find the treasure before the second placed team.

The eyes/shapes in the Sterope puzzle -- are they from logos? I know I recognize the second to last one.
