She can definitely sing, no question.

But I have to admit it gave me a funny feeling to hear Mike Nesmith's voice coming from that much older-looking man. He's still the Monkee with the knit cap in my mind.

Is he The Whitney Brown yet?

He's now Her Whitney Brown.

But once I dreamed he'd be My Whitney Brown. I love a smart, funny man.

Before I knew that bookstore appearances were for selling books, I had A. Whitney Brown sign my copy of The Lorax.

Who is this woman, and where has she been all my life? She's easily a female Aerosmith. Why not the same recognition?

I got her to autograph a cassette for me once, back in '93 or so I think.

Mike Nesmith *and* A. Whitney Brown? My engraved invitation must have been lost in the mail, I presume? There can't be many of us major fans of both.

A question for the ages.

Why did Carolyn Wonderland sing her wedding vows to her husband A. Whitney Brown?

Based on what I've read on the internet lately, I'm guessing that an electromagnet had disabled her language center.

She's easily a female Aerosmith.

Thank you for expressing in words what everyone was feeling.

I love her - saw her a couple of summers ago - and was totally blown away! Nice news :-)

I don't know about the other peeps in the OP, but Linda Ronstadt singing "Different Drum" is one of my all-time favorite pop songs. Props to Michael Nesmith (and forgiveness for The Monkees).

She can definitely sing and A. Whitney Brown was, hands down, the most underrated SNL performer ever. That is all.

Aww, A. Whitney Brown. This article explains where he went, which I wondered. When I was thirteen or so, I loved his "The Big Picture" book, although I know that doesn't sound like much of a compliment to the book.

Mike Nesmith and A. Whitney Brown in the same place at the same time?

Oh my god, my 7 year old and 13 year old selves just got HUGE GIRL BONERS!!!!

I hope they're happy and fabulously wealthy together. A. Whitney Brown is my favorite American comedian.

Two of my college friends sang at their own wedding. They did an OK job, given that they were freaked out and not professionals, but of course, they were nowhere as good as Carolyn Wonderland.

Note to self: get off my duff and see Carolyn Wonderland soon.

Hey a Houston girl! Used to be able to catch her singing all over town in these little dives and she was marvelous fun. She's worked hard for - what - 25 years now - nice to see her getting the attention she's earned and deserves. Congrats to the lovely couple.

on a personal side note - one of the BEST things about marrying a musician is the music you will have at your wedding.
