d'awwwwww.

I love the boy's look after "me and her kissed on the lips." True pimp from day one.

Thank you, MetaFilter, for making me smile this one extra time today.

"No more!"

T'ch'yeah, right.

My first kiss happened when I was 17. These brats are lucky.

How old are they? They seem kind of young for having romantic feelings.

Seeing the easiness of it all for other people, even (especially!) so early on, it is painfully apparent that I was derailed at a very young age. What others found so effortless or plentiful has been so scarce for me; where others can fit in, adapt, and be part of a group- or valued as an individual- I've never really been accepted. Any chance at becoming a normal, healthy person was murdered in the alien classroom in first grade, and you just can't make up for lost time, you just can't right some things once they're set in motion.

I am thus reminded that from those first years among the other kids, my life has been on rails. Every moment I've lived, despite the illusion of choice, has been just another domino falling in a predetermined layout to an unpleasant end.

Sometimes... it doesn't go so well. (warning: pretty much the complete opposite of d'awwwwww, squick lies within)

I'd guess he's 6 and she's 7.

Perhaps not so much fully romantic feelings as miming what they've seen their parents do or seen in TV and movies, with a little playful encouragement from the grown-ups.

Small kids having play-romances is not that uncommon. They'll have time to grow into the "boys, ugh" and "girls, yick" stages before the hormones start kicking in.

Well. Don't worry about these two, things will get awkward and excruciatingly complicated for them once they hit puberty.

Yeah, that's what I guess as well. I saw the video but when I watched a second time it did seem more playful then anything.

Yeah, but I don't really think it's the same thing with these two. It's not awkward for them because they don't have intensity of feelings that teens/adults would have.

Aw, yeah, having not gotten kissed until 18 (at which point there was all sorts of unhappy build up about it), I can't help but be a little jealous that it came for the kids at a time when they were so comfortable in themselves and their bodies.

Also, I love that someone high-fives the boy, and then the girl insists that she should get a high-five too.

Some people see kids being goofy and adventurous like this and feel cheery. Some feel angry, bitter, confused and vaguely aroused. I hope the latter group never discover the mind-blowing psychoanalytical ambiguity of Kim Anderson's greeting cards.

Yeah, especially since this video will be going around their Jr. High.

Adorable, but I'm not really sure it counts as a "first kiss." I had my first kiss(es) with my "girlfriend" at about 5, and then took about a decade-and-a-half break. The first first kiss had almost nothing in common with the second first kiss other than lips.

Its a great feeling knowing that our kids will likely be more awesome than we are.
