Was a missle already deployed, but missed by seconds to nail the second plane? Scroll to the middle and view the East Angle clip of the second plane hitting the tower. Here's the article from the Drudge Report. Personally looks like they edited the tape.

It didn't explode because it's an insect.

With all the video cameras trained on the WTC at that moment, we would be watching this missle miss its target from, who knows how many, different angles. The Drudge is trying to fudge, IMO.

Get Pierre Salinger. He's an expert on these types of things. He'll print out this blog and call a press conference.

Would it have made a whole lot of difference if it were hit a few seconds before it smashed into the tower?

If it was a missle, wouldn't it have landed in someone's living room or something? And wouldn't somebody have noticed a fighter jet screaming thru the Manhattan sky? This is silly...

Maybe the hijackers ejected to safety.....

Even the plane coming in looks odd. Something's up with the video. Missles, contrary to popular belief, aren't quiet objects that come and go when they please. With all the people and cameras pointed, I doubt this would be the only clip with a missle. It could be, however, Zyborg's mothership from Gamma 9.

yep, its a bird. If they had bothered to post that entire clip, the camera is near a building that has birds flying around, then it zooms in just before the second plane hits. ...or at least thats what I remember.

Perhaps it's the same (imaginary) missile that struck TWA Flight 800. ^_-

On a related note, has anyone pursued the idea of a missle striking the Pennsylvania crash? I'm not one for conspiracy theories but I wonder why the debris was scattered over 6 miles with no fragment larger than a sheet of paper. If the plane was simply driven into the ground, wouldn't larger fragments remain with a smaller debris field?

what tactical advantage would the military have in tageting a commercial aircraft 100 yards from the tower? news of the flight in PA has been absent, for sure, but there has been two horrible events in new york and washington which take precedent. one couls argue that the washington crash has been put on the back burner as well.

some scattered debris can be accounted for by wind. especially bits smaller than a sheet of paper. i did think this crash sounded fishy from the moment it was announced. i don't think pilots crash planes full of passengers. i also don't believe that the terrorists would make their intentions known, resulting in the passengers taking control and crashing the plane.

here's my half arsed theory:

for some reason, no fighter jets were close enough to take the plane out from close range in time, so a missile was fired long range once they realised there weren't many other options. and bad timing would have it that the missile was too late.

but what makes that not work for me, is that if a missile misses, it still has to hit *something*, even if just the ground. surely somebody would notice a missile slamming into new york, even with the other chaos going on around.

to wrap this up, here is the scoop (or at least, according to the media):

Officials: Government failed to react to FAA warning
