Baseball player Curt Schilling's letter to America. I think this is a great way to say we're shocked, we're grieving, and we're going back to work with the victims and their families in mind. Play ball!

I suppose this is not very important in the context of the attacks, but I wish he had mentioned that there are Canadian baseball teams too. MLB is not just American teams. It's easy to forget that fact when he writes "we made the decision as citizens of this country." Canadian teams aren't any less affected by the tragedy, and it would've been nice to remember they exist since Americans often forget we aren't the only country playing ball. And it would've been a nice reminder that the world is in this together.

The Canadians have infiltrated Major League Baseball?! Oh my God! What is this world coming to?!

Someone alert the President! We need a full scale build-up on our northern border... Them Canadians can't mess with America's national pastime!! ;-)

They got basketball too, but we're taking one back. Football? Never. (CFL does not count, Flutie be damned!)

The Canadians have infiltrated Major League Baseball?!

The hell you say! Well, I'll tell you one thing- if those damn Canadians ever infiltrate the beloved American sport of hockey, then this nation has truly gone into the crapper!

Actually, I think Schilling was referring to the actual players, not the clubs. I don't think there are too many Canadian players in the major leagues.

In any case, there probably won't be Major League Baseball in Montreal much longer. It was a disappointing showing in Montreal for Monday night's game versus the Florida Marlins.
