I have seen the future of advertising, and it is PP * blog. My ultra-top-secret advertising scheme is finally let out of the box. Okay, so it might not be the future of advertising, but it IS a sleezy scheme on my part to help get both me AND you more visibility in the weblog dept.

Can you spell S-P-A-M S-U-C-K-S, even if you think it's funny? It's not.

Ha! A self-referential post to MetaFilter hawking your spam-scheme!

I've pulled accounts for less... :)

On a related topic, Jeff Veen has an excellent article over at Webmonkey on those annoying "haha-made-you-click" ad banners. I find this post to be akin to one of those stupid banners.

Sez Jeff: "Personally, I try not to start relationships with lies."

And also, I've learned not to post self-referrential posts. Sorry. I was just trying to make fun of the fact that lately, I've been going to dumb lengths to get traffic to my site. And people didn't understand that this was just a joke, or they DID understand, and thought it wasn't funny. Again, sorry.

I dunno... Jason quoted Jeff Veen, which is a little like Paul quoting Jesus (or at least Ringo quoting Paul), so I'm guessing it must have been a bad idea. PP, maybe you should go with something like the poetry angle.
