Oddly enough, we were just discussing the Roche limit in #bunnies yesterday. I was saddened to find out that Triton will fall within Neptune's Roche limit in about 3.6 billion years. =(

It's kind of cool that wikipedia has links for the Roche limits of the major bodies in our solar system, as well as the ratios between the limit and the actual distance of the satellite. There are also several bodies which orbit inside Roche limits!
