Huh, it turns out that after all, everything is better when you dance.

No, but it certainly makes it far easier to do so, don't you agree?

I wish I could order my priorities such that traveling the world, and having these kinds of experiences was more possible, I know I don't need a trust fund to do that.

Nice videos, thanks! Felt a bit like a commercial, like I was going to see a Volkwagen logo at the end, but it is pretty to see all those different places like that. Also reminds me why I love to travel.

My wife and I just moved into a cheaper apartment - basically so we could travel more.

Smart move vacapinta - we're looking at doing the same.

I think the message is that life is good when you are young and white and handsome and wealthy enough to travel and healthy enough that the "Move" video doesn't give you seizures. I think. I'm not sure because I had to turn off the "Move" video before it gave me a seizure.

Can people please stop having a good time, achieving their dreams and travelling the world. This really does make me feel bad, I don't want to take this out on anyone, but I probably will.

To add to this, why is everyone assuming trust fund. My first thought was whether that guy was a hired model. And seriously handsome people have better times. I can barely order a coffee without feeling like a shit.

Yeah, I did a fair amount of traveling in my 20s and now am settling down a bit. Although I was not a trust fund kid, I had enough resources that I could travel without facing economic hardships. It hasn't really occurred to me before, but maybe I should keep my experiences to myself since not everyone had the privilege to travel like I did.

That food looks amazing though. I'd love to see a list of what the dishes were.

Read the reddit thread (the via); dude is an actor in Australia.

If your first impulse after watching these is to be cynical and judge rather than to get an urge to travel, I think you may have to take care of that chip on your shoulder. I can be jealous of the guy's privilege and experiences and still recognize that these videos are well done.

Oh I see. I have blocked Reddit in my /etc/hosts file. It is too unproductive for me to even have it as an option.

The guy is cute, it's well produced, but...it's a little too slick and calculated for me.

It lacks the warmth and exuberance of Where The Hell Is Matt? - I actually keep a copy of the "Dancing 2008" video on my iPhone, the one were Matt went around the world again and had people join him in his silly dancing everywhere. I keep it handy like that so in the middle of any dark day when I hate everyone and everything, I cue it up and the world fills with light and joy again.

This kid's video, though? Gives me nothing but "ooh, isn't he impressive."

The Move video rubs me the wrong way. It seems to me the movie is emphasing the quantity of places this guy visited, and the uniformity of his reaction to his surroundings in each frame: no places is nice or interesting enough for him to stop and pay attention, he just keeps walking straight ahead without looking sideways. Each place is forgotten and replaced by another. The only thing he is paying attention is the camera, because he is aware it is watching him.
