They are all short adventures. There is also now a Simon's Cat daily comic that isn't as good as the animated toons. It's homebased at the same newspaper that originated "Andy Capp" several hundred years ago. I fear Simon's Cat will be overextended long before it can challenge Garfield.

I adore Simon's cat. The "Santa Claws" video is my favourite. Or perhaps "Let me in".... Or "Fly guy"... Oh well, it doesn't matter, they all bright up my day.

So since it's been a while since I have seen these vids, thanks for reminding me of their existence! :)

Hm, perhaps I should not reveal my age now, hahahaha!

Hua, those actually aren't bad. Rather see that in a newspaper than Garfield.

Andy Capp makes so much more sense now that I know he's British.

This reminds me... I have to move the fridge to clean the coils soon. I'm scared to find out what's under it. There's probably 20 milk jug rings and who knows what else that the kitties have managed to swat under there.

I think when they play cat hockey, the area under the fridge is the goal.

That Simon sure seems like nice guy, I wonder if he's got a girlfriend.

Simon's Cat just isn't the same without the 'Mrow?' voices.

No, that's not how it happens. What happens is that I drop a quarter on the laundry room floor. It rolls under the dryer and I get a yardstick to get it out. Instead of the quarter, I end up with four fuzzy balls, a half a dozen toy mice (two decapitated), a feather, and a couple of milk rings...all while my cat sits there glaring at me as if to say, "It's about time you got that stuff out for me. Humph."

If I don't get the toys out frequently enough, though, she'll eventually sit mournfully in front of whatever piece of furniture she's used as her latest hiding place, halfheartedly sticking a nose or paw under it as if to remind me of my duty. Her cute little face guilt trips me into moving the furniture and retrieving her toys. Except they're back under the furniture in 10 minutes flat, after which she walks away nonchalantly as if she didn't care in the first place. Just to prove that she has the power to make me move stuff.

I love Simon's cat, so ta for this... but it would've been funnier for me if my own cat hadn't chased a rat into the back of the fridge the other day, and then got bored.

Little-known fact: rat tails break off quite easily, and cannot reliably be used to drag an unwilling rat out of the back of a fridge.

My fave anecdote about cats digging up stuff from who knows where is from my own cat, of course. He had this ring with tassels on it that he loveddddd...but I couldn't find it for weeks. Finally I felt bad about it and bought him a new one. As soon as I got it out of the wrapping and put it in front of him, he trotted away, came back with the original toy and put it side by side with the new one. Ah well, now he has two.
