Hockey, Schmockey, let's just shake hands. I'm not a hockey fan, but I do appreciate the fact that our country seems to be re-examining what is truly important in life at every turn, both in groups and on a personal level.

I'm glad someone posted this. It's a good example that, no matter what anyone might think about hockey or hockey players, there are athletes out there who are respectful people.

And let's not forget, these two teams HATE each other, which makes this gesture all the more poignant.

Viva La Hockey!!

I'm sure there may be many examples like this, but this one was one of the most inspirational things I've heard...
I know how people around me feel, I'm glad that my yankee brothers are feeling it too...USA! USA!

As a former hockey player, this was very cool for me to read. There were apparantly six or so fights during the game, but to end it the way they did, it was nothing short of tremendous... let alone the fact that it was NY/Philly, who certainly would not be enjoying an amicable experience on ice in any other time.

Hockey players are by far the classiest category of athlete in professional sports. With very few exceptions, there's no showboating, no trashtalking off of the ice. I'm not surprised by how this was handled at all.
