Isreal suggests two other "masterminds" behind the bombing in NY. Its about time someone printed this. As I posted this last week.

This article is just reporting on an article in Jane's (read the original instead) which was MeFi'd on the 19th.

That hardly seems surprising. Reading up on bin Laden makes it quite clear he needed an experienced operational core to tackle an operation like 9.11. It's also clear from what they know of the embassy bombings and the USS Cole that bin Laden has managed to craft a kind of pan-Islamic Terrorist All-Star team.

The first I heard of this was on the 12th, in this World Tribune Column. I hadn't heard that publication before and spent some time trying to validate the story but couldn't. Because I couldn't verify the story I didn't post the link to the front page but did add it to this metafilter thread.

I know self-linking is a no-no, but I compiled a group of links about this last night on my site (and scooped the Independent).
