How did Simon get into my house to document my cats' behavior?

The mouse was totally unrealistic

Everybody loves to hug baby kittens unless they look like Hitler.

You know who else loved pets? That's right, the Nazis.

My cat did about 80% of that last night.

Did anyone else pick up a very disturbing sexual vibe between Hitler & his cat? *shudders.

The best description I heard of the cat's affection for the mouse was 'mousal abuse'.

That's nothing. I have a (small) dog that insists on jumping in my lap and putting her paws on the keyboard when I'm on the couch with my laptop.

Furthering the Hitler derail, I once volunteered at an archive that housed a collection from a judge at the Nuremberg Trials. All kinds of strange memorabilia from the judge's trip abroad. Among the collection were what looked like government sanctioned scrapbooks filled with images of Hitler and Nazi Germany, with the original German captions & their English translations beneath. Here is the only one I couldn't help snapping a photo of, as it just seemed so...odd.

The genius of these is that the perfectly capture everyday, obnoxious cat behavior in a way that people can point to and say "my little shit of a cat does that exact same thing!" but in a way that is funny enough to be entertaining and not just a documentation of the worst aspects of rooming with a furry sociopath.

Because my little shit of a cat does this exact same thing, and it's not cute at all in real life, but the cartoon makes me smile.

And I love that Simon's cat always comes back to wanting food. That's some truth, right there.

Its curious that although Simon's cat is drawn in a minimalist sort of way (e.g. no whiskers), one of the features it definitely does have is a bumhole.

Is this a subtle way of reminding us that looking after cats brings sometimes unpleasant responsibilities?

I really have no respect for Simon. Especially the way he stares at me at the end of the cartoon.

Don't look at me, Simon! You should have sprayed him with a squirt bottle!

No, it is a subtle way of reminding us how real-life cats love nonchalantly sticking their prominent bumholes into human faces at every opportunity.

Simon should get his cat a puppy.

The only real difference between the cartoon and my life is that in real life, I bought a UPS for my computer... a UPS with a perfectly paw-sized off-button. No opposable thumbs necessary to shut down the computer.

Simon's anger control is admirable beyond belief. If a cat kept bugging me like that - it'd be the braising pot for him! I guess that's why I'm a dog person.
