This word, 'slyt': I do not think it means what you think it means.

Seems to be related to the McGurk effect.

OK. Very funny, but you're not fooling me. You put two original Rick Perry videos up there.

BLR previously.

They're really on to something with the Rick Perry clip (whereas the musical part makes the Obama one a bit too... hybrid).

Interesting that they often resort to food-talk - is that because it's a kind of linguistic comfort-zone that helps the McGurk effect?

"I am bored by famine" describes the Republican platform pretty well, I'd say.

Oh dear heaven, "Happy in Paraguay" makes me cry tears of laughter every time.

So um now I guess I'll watch the thing that was posted about?

I don't know who Rick Perry is, but if he's this eloquent, he has my vote!

Dammit, I came across the Perry one elsewhere and was about to post it when I found this. "Save a Pretzel for the Gas Jets" made my face asplode.

And having now watched part of an Obama one, I think what sells it is 1) the fake accent and 2) the real sweat. He looks like he's working so hard to talk such nonsense. And of course we are pretty used to the concept of Texan presidential candidates being stupid.

Can I get all my speeches in this format from now on? How about all my news?

The Rick Perry one is great, but re Because's comment, another vote for Happy in Paraguay - hadn't seen that one before. Apple juice?

I love Gang Fight, but every time I see the rapper start up in "Friday" I always think of Morgan from Kids React saying, " Does his mom know he's doing that?"

St Sanders kinda specialises in this sort of thing, but for bands.

His Rolling Stones video made me laugh like the idiot I am when I first saw it.
