The chairs all went on to pursue moderately successful careers as props in daytime TV soap operas. One was even rumoured to be romantically involved with Judge Judy's desk for a time. Used to fondle it's drawers while she hit it with a hammer.

I envision an idyllic system whereby every time a double-post is attempted, an alien pops out of the MetaFilter page, Spaceballs-style and does a little softshoe dance off the screen.
I just want to say, on a personal note, that I am ecstatically happy that within mere moments I have been able to waste precious worktime looking at Chair Porn and a really stupid carp fishing game.
