Awesome! Also, I guess you're right on both counts - it's an Eagle-Owl.

Wow. Now I'm going to go trawling YouTube for more high-speed HD captures of neat things. There goes my afternoon.

It won't survive long in the wild if it always moves that slow.

anothermug: it exclusively hunts the slow loris, and is known to camouflage itself by hiding on pillars marking the edges of driveways.

Am I to take it that the film stopped because the eagle ate the photographer? Because that is... well, dedication to one's craft.

Oh, I've danced with the loris before, and I've found that sometimes the slow loris is happy, other times, it is sad.

The utter lack of expression on that bird's face is downright unsettling. I mean, I get that their faces are just built that way and that it's silly to anthropomorphize, but it still gives me the shivers.

There's something about the way it holds its head that really reminds me of my cat. Very still intense stare whilst precisely throwing the claws at a target. I wonder if owls get over confident and fall off things like she does.

There is nothing I do or can imagine doing that can possibly be as satisfying as I imagine doing that would feel like.
