It wasn't a question of if, but when. There's now a hacked version of napster that allows trading warez and videos (I bet every college student on a T1 is going apeshit right now).

oh, anyone know where to get wrapster? I mean, for um...research purposes and all. I have to research it for the post, to figure out if it's for real or not (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!).

Well, according to the article, Wrapster has only been available since Tuesday. Give it time and you shall find...

I played with it, and it "zips" your files up as mp3s, hence the name "wrapster". So lets say you have (or want) some pirated copy of Star Wars. You take your phantom_menace.mpg movie and "wrapster" it as phantom_menace.mp3, go online with napster, and suddenly people can see something that's actually a movie, and not a song. They download and use wrapster to "un-wrapster" the file, and they'll have their own copy of the movie. It's a messy system, and I haven't trolled napster today, but maybe there's a bunch of "photoshop5.mp3" files now...
