As you've intuited, WRN is intimately involved in the shortwave radio scene, offering podcasts and streams of many of the medium's most visible broadcasters. And while nothing will ever replace tuning an actual ionospheric radio in my book, this is one of the few solid resources to catch some of the same programming.

This is great, thank you. I was listening to KBS World Radio out of Seoul, and now Polish Radio External Service. I'm fascinated by both the international and local issues that they cover in the broadcasts and the small thrill of hearing unfamiliar place names.

Wow, this is perfect. I grew up as a shortwave hobbyist, and even recently I've been searching for a good listing of national-news-and-interest type stations and programs that are listenable on the internet.

What I've found was disorganized and aimed at people who still use shortwave receivers. This is the cure for what ails me. Thanks!

The concept is wonderful. The website however, is quite frustrating. Is it just me?

The website is decent but awkward in places. There are settings for regional networks and the country where the website visitor is in. Those combine to provide ways to listen, which shift with each combination.

Also, much thanks, this is pretty cool. Much different then hunting stations on shortwave in the middle of the night.
