De La Guarda (Flash-only, navigate through to 'Shows' section) This Argentinian collective mixes dance, music, climbing and circus skills in their show 'Villa Villa', which has played in London, Las Vegas and (currently) in New York. They've managed to sum up the whole tribal, visceral experience (think rave rather than Cirque de Soleil) via this site's interactive elements.

It can be fun, if you don't mind not being able to sit down. Take someone you like to hold onto in the dark. Don't take your grandparents.

i went with my epileptic best friend & was positive we were seconds away from a seizure the whole time... but it's a great time & i recommend it to almost anyone.

Wow. That was really impressive.

Apparently the site was made by these guys, but their site seems to be down. I'd love to see more of their work.

Recoleta is the most expensive and exclusive cemetery in the world. It's like in the Upper East Side of Buenos Aires. But tango is about fate and fate is about death and dancing is the best way to spit in its face.

Note to the wise: Do not go and see these guys directly after work, wearing a suit. I might as well have had a "Pick on Me" sign on my back! That said, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

lol. no shit.

like blue man group, de la guarda is a show to which you take friends/family visiting nyc. (naturally, if you live in nyc you should have already seen it.)

it's an hilarious freak-out for the virgins -- getting herded into the seemingly tiny room with a low ceiling, a single lightbulb providing the only illumination.

oh, and wear galoshes.

saw this in London 2 years ago. Best show I've ever seen. Hope to see the NYC version soon.
