I Forgot about Grey Day did anyone else?
Still trying to forget the last time they tried this.
I'm a bit more of a supporter of Gray Day myself.

Well, quick! There's still time! It's only 8:00 in the morning on the West Coast!
But I don't think you're alone in forgetting - I haven't run across any grey-outs yet.

But thanks for reminding us. God, it feels great to be alive and here talking to you guys!
My mother, whenever we wanted to trade her in for another, better and more understanding type of mummy, used to show us the picture of old widow Clicquot, whose dour portrait is on the cap of every bottle of their champagne; make us really look at her hardened features and then ask: "Would you prefer her as your mother?"
It really made us appreciate her. Grey day does exactly the same.
P.S. So I'm off to the MeFi sidebar where there is an unforgettable example of our much.loved with "the ugly dial turned up to 11". Suddenly, it just seems...

The web will never go grey, if only because of me. I've put up plenty of nice'n'colorful original content over the years and never bothered to copyright any of it or pay any attention if somebody swiped my graphics or audio. All the anal-retentive I-OWN-IT-DON'T-TOUCH-IT-I'LL-TELL-MY-MOMMY freaks can go grey if they want, the sooner the better. In fact they can flatline if they want, that's how broadminded I am.

You know... apart from the fact that they specifically set the bgcolor to grey, overriding my default of white, I don't think I'd mind at all if the web looked like that. It would make it easier to read the good stuff.
(Well, okay, it might also be nice if they didn't use a monospace font for no apparent reason.)

my site's already gray... okay, so there's a pinch of white, but gray nonetheless.

I thought the Grey Day webpages were pretty. Very minimalistic.
