Next attack by containership? The head of security at Logan Airport, responsible not only for security lapses that led to 2 of the 9/11 hijackings but hundreds of other lapses as well, has been removed from his post--and reassigned as the head of security at the Port of Boston. Mass. politics at its finest.

Personally, I'm a little dismayed by the apparent trend of our governors appointing their limo drivers to positions of authority. Weld did it, Cellucci did it, and word was this morning that Swift wants to give her driver some plum post, too.

Fortunately, the Coast Guard has been actively patrolling Boston Harbor since the 11th, which I know because every single TV reporter, even including somebody from "Chronicle" (taking time out from yet another "Back Roads and Main Streets of Vermont" feature) has done a piece on what it's like on a Coast Guard boat.

Hey, chill, no need to worry. Haven't you heard? Now way the next attack will come from any other means of delivery than a missile from North Korea!
Geez, I wish you folks would read the White House (cough)..er... latest news releases from our independent media sources. Nothing worse than an uninformed intelligentsia... :)
