there was this one kid I used to know from my mmorpg days who liked to put Devo hats on random imgs. I would very much like to combine that with googly eyes for maximum awesomeness.

Oh my god that Brood with googly eyes needs a HUG. Yes it DOES.

Also, Fantomex looks like a Ninja Turtle.

Those are all great. And with this treatment, Liefeld's art makes a lot more sense to me.

Synchronicity. I've been on a googly eye tear for the past couple of days (and a few odd decades). This is good.

And suddenly they all look as if they were drawn by Kate Beaton. Which makes them even MORE awesome.

It helps considerably that the X-Men, particularly during the 90s, were drawn in such an overwrought style (particularly by Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld) that they're already pretty high on the ridiculousity quotient.

Of course, I had to follow the inevitable and look for "googly eyes on cats".

Goddamnit people you can't just throw on some googly eyes and call it a day, shake them shits around so they're all askew! This is how you do it.

Waitaminnit - so... like... Zerg are Brood? I forgot all about the Brood, but... seeing that googly eye pic instantly made me think of the Zerg so... There's clearly an inspiration, right?

Liefeld, yes, and Lee, I dunno, I liked Lee, but Liefeld? How'd that guy ever get a gig?

Shouldn't Cable just have one googly eye and one pupil-less dome full of gold glitter?
