Columbia Records to release benefit cd "God Bless America" The compilation will include Celine Dion's rendition of the title track which was recorded specially for this release. The label says "a substantial portion" of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Twin Towers Fund.. Uh, "substantial portion" AND another Celine version of GBA? This cd sucks already. The catalog sales must be slow over at Columbia.

As far as I am concerned this is just as bad as any scam charity. Maybe worse thanks to Celine et al.

Wouldn't a statement like "5% of all Columbia Records' profits will go to the Twin Towers fund" be better than this GBA CD scheme?

Uh...shouldn't that be "O Canada"?

Ahhh, capitalizing on tragedy, how corporate. I think I just saw Fred Durst singing "What's Going On." [cringe]

Well, it's not posted on Lloyd Dangle's website but didn't the latest Troubletown have a panel of helicopters broadcasting her latest single to the Taliban as a terror weapon?

Wow. This sucks on every conceivable level of suckdom, and may, in fact, cause new levels of sucktitude to be created and subsequently filled to overflowing with suckiness.

I refuse to buy it until they include those satanic chants that Mariah was performing while Willie Nelson sand America the Beautiful.

Not anymore. Celine's a bonafide U.S. resident and business owner now, and her kidlet - born in Florida - is a citizen. Seems like she intends to stick around for the long haul.

Nevertheless, this CD is just icky bad. Blech.

"Kidlet"? That's beautiful.

I concur with everyone that this is unparalleled suckage.
