Hors Cycles

I liked it, especially the spinning and bouncing parts.

When I saw what the cyclist in the red shirt was doing to his unicycle's seat when the video started, I wondered what it meant by "Hors". Enough distraction, back to the cool acrobatics.

That was fun. Granted, I've seen all those tricks before decades ago, but it had a whole Cirque du Solei kind of vaudeville skit feel that made it all new again.

Oh, sure, mat, YOU'VE seen everything a person can do on a bicycle without causing permanent damage (and many that would), but if I set up a large screen next to the bicycle lane in front of my place and showed that video on a loop, I wonder how many of the cyclists on their daily runs would drive into the ditch...

That was great, thanks for this. Anyone know what the music was?

The music in the first 4 minutes, I mean.

I like the beard.

First 4 minutes was the Clash from London Calling - Brand New Cadillac.

Those guys were amazing. I wince to contemplate the damage when getting the routine down.

Exactly, which is why when I say that's not my bag, I mean it literally.

There was a point in the first half when they were both bouncing on the trampoline, when my brain pretty much refused to compute what was going on.

Wow that was hipsterrific!

Nah, OHenryPacey - actual hipsters might get stoned and talk about doing something like this but would never actually go ahead and put the huge amount of work in required to actually do it. Actually doing it is pretty much the definition of not being a hipster.

I envy their clear skill and agility, I don't envy their producers insurance adjuster.

So there's these two performers, and they want to do what?!?!? Around a trampoline backwards with a beard how long?!?!? Doing flips on the trampoline while riding a what!?!?! Being dragged by the others suspenders how many laps?!?!? What do you mean by falling onto the trampoline and being ejected from it onto a unicycle?!?!? AND they double bounce?!?!? They will at least have their feet at shoulders distance apart while their interacting with the trampoline right?

I didn't necessarily mean that those guys, who obviously have put in a tremendous amount of time and effort to gain those skills, are hipsters. It just has a rather contemporary hipsterish aesthetic. or French.

There were points in this video that I was shouting at my monitor in disbelief.

Music 2 was Santana's "Samba Pa Ti", if anyone's taking notes.

I totally kept thinking they were mimes normally.

This is so fantastic. Several times were were watching one dude and the other one does something awesome and it was all "WHOA how did he when did he what?! We need to watch this again."

I don't care if it's been done a million times before, it was still cool as fuck.

I can't believe they weren't wearing helmets!

It's a magic trick. The fact of the unicycle is meant to distract you from the utterly amazing WTF of the bicycle.

Jesus, that was awesome. For those keeping score, I still think any use of a trampoline=broken neck. Just like a math equation.

That's all for this week! Tune in again next week where we watch a septet of skydivers make perfect landings using suspension mountain bikes with the saddles removed. All that and more on... IRON CROTCH!

I don't know. I'm pretty sure that about half the time the old prospector guy wasn't riding that bike correctly.
