Dear Lord, please forgive me for my shameless promotion of my friends' project, but I do hope all the metausers will enjoy the glory that is Georgy Bush. I know I did, but I am biased. ;)

On the political front I would like to post a Help Wanted: Any ideas on what to do. Today VP Al Gore came to Marquette. As the motorcade proceeded from 16th Street onto Wells it passed with no harm. Only that I had a "WALK" signal at the intersection. I proceeded and made it across with no problems. However, I was stopped and issued a $60 dollar fine for a 791-Pedestrian Sudden Movement in Traffic. Violation of Wisconsin Statute Number 346.24(2).

I was not "J-Walking" nor proceeding at an abnormal rate through the intersection. The court cases I found that might help involve those who were struck by a car. Does anyone know of a ruling or case that may be of use to fight this pointless ticket?

Did you look up the statute? What's the exact wording?

Sorry to hear about your fine. Thats pretty wacked - though in court they might just drop it, perhaps they were making an example of you. Hard to tell.

On the topic of the link: "The fight to defeat Georgy Bush isn't just about politics. It's about making sure that we elect intelligent, progressive leaders, rather than the usual bunch of wealthy, selfish dumbasses."

YEAH! so elect AlGore! No, wait, he is wealthy, and they are all dumbasses. Oh well, there goes that idea.

If I'd had my druthers, I would've helped elect Bradley. He's a real person (read: not a panderer like Bore and Gush) and that's damn refreshing.
