This reminds me of our low-quality-ink Spanish workbooks when I was in high school. It was ridiculously easy to just erase whole portions of the typically somewhat ridiculous already drawings... needless to say there ended up being a lot of things like aliens popping out of the chest of the guy in the dentist's chair, or kids playing soccer with the head of a decapitated teammate.

In other words, fantastic.

I like this much more than I would expect to like this, if you were to describe it to me in words.

I've never laughed at "purple nurple" before, but that is hilarious.

I got caught in a wizard riot once...it's nothing to joke about.

Someone should tell this guy about photoshop.

People should keep Photoshop a secret from this guy.

Lost it at Obama's Slumber Party. Thanks so much for posting this!

Most likely, the next version of Photoshop will include an "Apply White-Out and bad penmanship" filter.

You know, if you go into the old photo files of any newspaper that kept them around, stuff from before the 1950s or so, you'll find many pictures touched up with a White-out-like product so as to suit the editor's needs. People are whited out of group shots, backgrounds are whited out, etc. Similar to this guy's style.

this is just the best thing

Also this, a thousand times. The phrase "bag of glass" did me in.

Whoever does this is much better at it than Perez Hilton.

Bunny Ultramod: Whoever does this is much better at it than Perez Hilton.

Probably because they're not as focused on mocking celebrities, and don't feel compelled to stay within the realms of reality.

Newt Gingrich, during a Mitt Romney-administered Purple Nurple. Other moments were less agreeable.

Awesome. The look on Mitt's face is just perfect for this.

I was kinda "meh" about it until I got to this one:

Man, these are substantially funnier than they have any right to be.

Newt & his tiny wife was the LOL moment. NK marathon, Obama's boy band.

Bachelor Life rocks too. Oh shit, this just reminded me about the three-month-old head of lettuce in the crisper. I'd better go take care of that.

*promptly forgets, fetches beer instead*

You think I'm not serious?

I once worked for Ford Motor Company, and they published a weekly staff newspaper. I used to enjoy getting a copy and seeing how quickly I could find a headline to subvert with white-out and letters cut & pasted from elsewhere in the paper, then photocopy the pasted-up layout and tack it on the walls around the place.

The only one I can actually recall now was at the launch of the Ford Sierra Sapphire, and the headline read "SAPPHIRE - WHAT A SIZZLER!" which was easily (and, I hoped, surreally) altered to "SAPPHIRE - WHAT A PIZZA!"

We used to do somethign similar with marker pens and problem pages in teen magazines - blank out words until they stopped making any kind of realistic sense. I'm tempted to nick a pen from work and do it on the commuter paper now.

Years ago I took a black sharpie and went at The Complete Guide to Conquering Video Games and started turning it into a stilted historical/religious tome called The Gui Quer, blacking out letters and whole words to create a sort of fractured narrative of a war and a revolution. I got all of six pages in; it was fun work, but smelly.

Not only funny, but for some reason, "Romney kidnapping the kids for votes" and "Voodoo Obama" felt like picture perfect examples of how the opposite side of the aisle feels about the politicians. And the North Korean tie, actually, would have been funny enough for a post on its own to me.

Strangely, cortex, I think "The Gui Quer" was a handle I used to use on gay.com.
