Yes, you read that right. A net label and audio gallery of diverse contemporary music. There are four albums available currently, each with great merit and interest. In particular, Jody Pou singing a selection of Anton Webern lieder is simply superb. Download the albums free, then drop them a contribution, if, like I have, you fall in love. Googles for you: more Jody Pou at the FMA; Composer Igor Ballereau; Solo violist Garth Knox; Composer Keneth Kirschner

This is very cool, and an AWESOME site. Anyone have any clue what that flash audio player is? I want it.

Ah. Just went to the web design firm's site. Looks like they do a lot of custom flash work, and that player was probably among it.

(When we people learn that the Post Title does no appear on the front page. Referring to it in the rubric makes no sense!)

And thanks for this - great site and some lovely afternoon listening!

Beautiful.

Jodi reminds me a bit of Jan DeGaetani, one of the the greatest voices 20th century music has ever heard.

Thanks for posting this!

Yeah, the player is fascinating. I wonder how much it cost, although it probably helps the stuff 'go viral'. The music is interesting stuff, but I'd probably pay a lot less attention to it if it was just some soundcloud links.

Totally agree, Delmoi. The design firm definitely doesn't look cheap, but if the proprietors put some elbow grease behind that site and music, it should be worth it.

This is great.

Seconding delmoi: This site really shows the importance of an outstanding interface.

Seconding benzo8: In the future, if you want to riff on the name of a link by saying something like "Yes, you read that right," it would work better to start out by saying (for instance) "SHSK'H" at the beginning of the front-page text. With this post, someone who finds this on the front page will just see "Yes, you read that right…" and will think: I read what right?
