How do they change the mouth expression? Are there multiple puppets?

The doctor would notice that the Zodiac on Grand Central's ceiling is backward.

Which would, of course, set off the plot.

It looks like it's drawn on with a dry-erase marker, maybe?

Or just photoshoppped in.

Very accurately, the puppet lacks eyebrows.

Not dry erase, since one of the pics shows an open mouth smile

Stickers maybe?

This week I popped in on Philadelphia. I didn’t have time for a cheese steak though.

You've got nothing but time!

Anyone else happily envisioning an all-puppet Dr Who episode, a la Smile Time?

A lot of the mouths scream photoshop, if you'll pardon the apropos.

This reminds me of an idea I had some years ago, wherein I was going to make a teddy bear with like clothespins or something in his little paws so he could hold onto stuff, and take lots of pictures of Teddy doing things, and seeming to have a great time, and probably never have the person whose (pre-Web 2.0) website it was purported to be ever appear in the pictures, and call it something like "My Only Friend", but the whole thing just seemed too time-consuming for something so sad.

This thing reminds me of that, but way better.

There's a teddy bear that stalks Kevin Spacey.

No. Really.

So he's been out to Prospect Park and Eastern Parkway, but couldn't stop in at the Way Station yet? Something's not right here.

There was a superfan who got Mr. Spacey to pose his Teddy Bear wherever he was making a public appearance, it showed up on his twitter like...a year ago? But searching twitter is a nightmare.

I love that place. I need to get there more often, it's been a while.

I just want to know where I get one of those puppets. It will go great with my sonic screwdriver collection.

I think he would only disagree with "He has all the time in the world." Although, since he is a small puppet, perhaps he uses up time at a slower rate....

The puppet is so life-like, I love it. Not exactly to scale, but I reckon that Matt Smith's thighs really are about 1/8th the circumference of a cheese doodle.

I bet there's some primitive tribe out there that has a rich body of myth built around a legendary character whose name translates to "The Shaman." He brings people from his culture out into the wider world through the use of his amazing CANOE, and brings them into contact with different nationalities, who usually want to kill them for some reason. But The Shaman always brings his companion through safely, with his transcendent knowledge of spirit physics and the use of his handy Magic Stick.

There is a chance that this is improper in some way, but it was too much fun to speculate upon not to relate here.

:( This post makes me feel guilty about not seeing my father-in-law this weekend, a ringer for an aged Smith Who (though I haven't yet gotten him into a bow tie...)

The mouth is either stickers or 'chops. I'm leaning towards stickers due to the lighting in the April 15th entry, but it could still be a 'chop with a good eye for detail.
