This is what I refer to as the Youtube K-hole. You can't help but click on one of the weird related videos which starts a vicious cycle and the next thing you know, three hours have gone by.

The creepy evil clown meme has been around since .. forever. It must be pre-date civilization since it seems to show up in every ancient culture, in various forms. There is something deep about it, brain stem deep. I wouldn't be surprised if primates have resident evil clowns among their troops. It probably goes back to the clown fish stage of evolution.

I just saw a link to this video on a somewhat NSFW very odd reddit thread by a woman showing the disturbing life-sized doll her uncle had made of her and given her, and then I watched the video, which led to other videos, so I came to Metafilter to clear my head, and the video is here too, and now I'll just turn off every computer in the house and whimper quietly for a while.
