Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne is a playable platform game based on the 3rd season finale episode of Community, Digital Estate Planning. Built with love, it runs on Windows, Linux, and OS X. A work in progress...

Having some weird issues with it. I can get to the town, at which point I can't get into any of the doors, and exiting the town to the right puts me right back at the start again.

(Or, apparently, I'm not having issues and that's all the game there is at this point. Didn't realize it was so early in development!)

Wow... the author has been having a lot of fun with the sprites. Troy as kickpuncher? With punches that have the power of kicks?

Any way to get this to recognize my controller, or do I need to map the keyboard functions myself? What are all the buttons anyways?

I think right now it's just WASD (or arrow keys) and space for gameplay, tab to switch costumes on the character selection screen, and enter.

I still can't get over how well produced that episode was. I need to watch the credits to see who animated it, but it was brilliant.
Just burned through all three seasons at once for the first time. Sad that there's likely only one mini season left.

Does it Konami code? Too lazy to try.

The game should suddenly end. Then restart after you press a button 1000 times. But only for a moment and even then as a shadow of its former self.

I've spent the last few weeks steadily lowering my expectations for the next series, but this has reignited my Community fandom. I now so badly want to play the whole game, as Giancarlo Esposito's character, but preferably with a Gus Fring costume.

Or perhaps it should restart after you press a button 1000 ... spaces.

Oh, I move to the right by pressing the right arrow button? I'm just supposed to figure that out on my own?

If I max out a characters trust and affection levels, can I gain access to a front-end scripting language?

The ability to choose costumes -- i.e., Shirley as "Not Miss Piggy," Darkest Timeline Britta complete with wash-out blue streak in her hair -- is what seals it for me.
