Clearly, this guy has not met many talking dolphins. Dolphins are pretty big jerks, but it gets lost because of those smiley mouths and the fact they can't talk. So, anyway, bad image.

Jefburdges, if links can be said to be awesome, then you have posted an awesome link.

You know what's wonderful? You. You are what's wonderful. Even on a bad day.

I don't think this one is odd. It's basically what I say to my husband through my tears on the days my depression hits me particularly hard and he is amazing.

Maybe I am just grumpy today but most of these don't seem odd at all. Sweet -- "I think about you all the time. Even when I know I shouldn't" -- but not odd/quirky/quotable/book-deal-worthy, which I assume he's going for.

They kind of made me feel like I was being stalked by Jack Handey, and not always in a good way.

Upon further reflection yeah, I like these, but I wouldn't say they're odd, just mildly offbeat in a sweet way. If they were in greeting cards I would probably buy them but I don't know that it's the greatest tumbler.

I also find myself objecting to anyone who uses an adjective to describe themselves. Why can't they just be called "Daily Compliments" and if I think they're odd that's my judgement to make? I like oddness but I disagree with self-labeling as odd as a selling point. This is also why I don't use instagram; I don't mind it but I hate that their own text describes the service as "quirky". What the hell is that?

Right, but depending on how you interpret the compliment, it could be intended to say that your husband is pretty great even when he's having a bad day.

As in, "even when you're a jerk, you're still okay with me."

My mom used to say to me, "Sometimes I don't like you, but I'll always love you."

That's a weird thing to say to a kid.

Looks like the Daily Complement could use a Daily Odd Compliment.

They don't seem to be odd, they seem to be manufactured for a tumblr that's all about collecting odd compliments.

I'm not going to think too hard about them. I'm just going to smile and think "Hey, that was sweet."

I feel like I'm missing something. These seem like they were written by a sixth grader trying to impress a high school freshman. I'll just move on ...

It's telling of my expectations that I misread this as "Daily Odd Complaint" several times, and was initially confused by the lack of negativity on the page.

"I would would walk barefoot on a bed of hot coals to prove my love for you.
And then I would walk barefoot on some legos in case you were a bit skeptical on the hotness of those coals."

^^ Whew, that's true dedication there..

This site is like the cat's pajamas,
for a cat who doesn't wear pajamas,
but keeps some in his closet,
just in case he one day may want
to put on some stylish pajamas.
