Would you like to watch a moving work of art while you skate your face right off your head? Zineth is a completely free student game, available on Mac and PC.

This looks tremendous. Visually it makes me think of a mish-mash of Jet Set Radio and Internal Section

Yeeesssss I've been waiting for this to come out.

I watched 30 seconds of the linked video and then immediately started downloading it. That's the closest I can come to a metric of how cool this looks.

Ah it is so much fun to just skate around and see all the scenery. It runs okay for me (mid-2011 Macbook Air), but you definitely want to use some sort of controller. It has been somewhat difficult to play using just a keyboard.

I had plans tonight gilrain. Plans with humans.

"Yeah, sorry. I know we had a date tonight, but I've gotta go play indie Jet Set Radio for the next ten hours. Yup, just came up. Nope, no way I can get out of it. Rain check?"

The only downside I can see to this is that it might incidentally increase the popularity of rollerblading.

I've been playing the tutorial and it's totally rad but so far all I've learned is that I'm awful at getting through doors.

I'm hoping that there is a easy way to replace the music for Zineth with the music from Jet Grind Radio.

Yup. I'm all over this. Thanks for the post!

Wow, this looks really good. Does it remind anyone else of Rez, or is it just me?

This looks like Jet Set Radio on acid... well, on more acid, anyway.

First thoughts: I like the manual. It reads, in its entirety:

"Zineth

twitter: @arcanekids
mail: arcanekids@gmail.com
web: http://www.arcanekids.com

A better manual coming soon?

Easter egg: http://www.okcupid.com/profile/Beautifulgrey"

Which leads to

"You should message me if
you have used at least 10 to 15 default photoshop filters on a single profile picture, you must be a genius.
You are super sassy / kind of a bitch.
You have a sweet ass suicide pact i can join.
because you won't."

The tutorial's pretty fun and the game runs well on my derpy little netbook, but as others have said before I think the developers need to learn a little something about, say, the concept of love.

Not just you.

Oh cool, you can actually watch the trailer with youtube's 3D option. If you can hold your eyes crossed (or in distant focus) you can actually watch it without glasses.
